Meet Christer Nordlander, EVP for Digital Trust at Epical ✨
Christer joined Epical six months ago, and in that short time he has already become a familiar face across our Digital Trust community. We sat down with him to talk about his first impressions, what has surprised him the most, and why curiosity is the superpower he believes we should all nurture.
How have your first months at Epical been?
The past months have been great. Everyone has made me feel truly welcome, and the atmosphere is both friendly and open. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know more people across the organization, even though I haven’t met everyone yet. I’m looking forward to visiting all our offices and connecting with even more colleagues.
What has been your main focus during your first six months?
A lot of my time has been spent understanding Epical inside out: the people, the culture, and how we collaborate. Equally important has been diving into our service offerings and exploring how we create value for our customers. I’ve also worked to understand our customer landscape and how we can continue growing our relationships and expanding into new ones. 🌱
Has anything surprised you about Epical so far?
The high level of competence across the organization struck me from day one. We have incredibly talented colleagues, and that is a key reason why I believe we are so well positioned for the future. The hardest part of any growth journey is assembling a strong team, and that is something Epical already has.
Epical’s virtues play a big role in how we work. Is there one you’ve noticed the most since joining?
All our virtues are important, but the one I have seen most clearly is accountability. Our consultants are deeply committed to delivering high-quality work and are equally invested when challenges arise. That level of ownership is something our customers notice as well, and it is a big reason why we see long-lasting partnerships and continued growth in our engagements. 💡🤝
Do you have a personal favorite among our virtues?
Curiosity. It is something we carry with us from childhood, but it is just as vital in business. For me, curiosity means wanting to understand our customers’ priorities, challenges, and decision-making on an even deeper level. If I could choose a superpower, it would be to become invisible and quietly observe boardroom conversations to better understand how decisions are made. Curiosity is incredibly valuable, both personally and professionally. ✨
We hear you’re also a passionate runner. Tell us more!
Running is one of my big passions, especially marathons and half marathons. Patience, long-term thinking, and steady investments over time fit my personality well. I am always happy to talk about running, whether someone is a seasoned runner or just getting started. 🏃♂️
