Leading with empathy and purpose: Sari's journey at Epical
Meet Sari Spiridovitsh, one of our dedicated Project Managers at Epical!
After shifting from the travel industry to IT, Sari has embraced her role as a consultant and project manager with curiosity, empathy, and a passion for teamwork. At Epical, she’s found the perfect balance of structure, learning, and human connection in a culture that supports growth and ownership. Read on for an interview with Sari about her journey, work, and what makes Epical special.
💜 What’s your role at Epical?
I work as a consultant and project manager. In this role I lead customer projects and help teams succeed together. At the core of my work are connecting with people, hands-on work, continuous learning, and managing the big picture – this suits me perfectly. I especially enjoy being able to combine structured work with a human-centered approach.
Being a consultant at Epical is rewarding – people are trusted here, and you’re given the opportunity to influence your own work. Projects offer the chance to explore different industries and collaborate with a variety of people. Every project has brought new learning experiences, helping me grow and discover my strengths. Freedom and responsibility go hand in hand, and there’s always a supportive community around you.
💜 Why did you choose to become a part of Epical?
I joined Epical when I made a career shift from the travel industry to IT. I initially applied for a different role but ended up in a position that combined my background in finance with my interest in learning new things. I was excited about the growth opportunities and the chance to develop in a new field – and those goals have been realized. Since then, I’ve moved on to new roles and taken on more responsibility based on my strengths.
💜 What do you like the most about being an employee at Epical?
Our company culture is open and supportive. We’re encouraged to share ideas, try new things, and be ourselves. It’s a place where you can ask questions, brainstorm, and learn together.
I also value the ability to influence my own work and develop according to my interests. The opportunity to shape my own career path motivates me to challenge myself and grow.
What I appreciate as well is the genuinely positive atmosphere – the environment is encouraging, and the can-do spirit brings a lot of positive energy. My colleagues are fantastic, and working with them is smooth and enjoyable. It’s easy to collaborate and share even the small everyday moments. Our morning coffee breaks may be small moments, but they’re important beginnings for the day.
💜 From our 4 virtues – empathy, accountability, curiosity, and empowerment – which one do you live by the most?
I feel that empathy is the value I live by the most. It shows in both customer work and collaboration with colleagues – the best solutions come through genuine listening, understanding, and building a shared vision. Of course, curiosity also drives me forward to learn new things and understand them more deeply.
💜 How do you maintain a healthy work-life balance?
I mostly work at the office, which brings a good rhythm to my daily life. My day usually starts with a morning coffee with colleagues – a small but meaningful routine that brings positive energy to the day. Work begins with a status meeting with the customer team, and as a project manager, I make sure the team has a clear direction and that things are progressing as planned.
In my free time, exercise is an important counterbalance to work. I do fitness boxing, go to the gym and do yoga. Weekly walks, often with work friends, are part of my routine. Physical activity helps me disconnect from the day’s thoughts and boosts my mood.
With my family, I enjoy shared moments, relaxing, and small getaways like weekend trips or trying out new recipes. For me, balance between work and free time comes from these small but meaningful everyday things.

Thank you, Sari, for sharing your journey. Your story is a great example of how curiosity, empathy, and a supportive work culture can lead to meaningful growth. We're proud to have you as part of the Epical team! 🙌
